In June 10, 1987 the Company was incorporated under the name "Azure River Gold Inc." by filing of a memorandum and articles with the Registrar of Companies under the Company Act (British Columbia).

It changed its name to TSA Explorations Ltd. on August 25, 1988. On July 6, 1992 the Company changed its name to Boron Chemicals International Ltd. On July 30, 1997 the Company changed its name to Atacama Minerals Corp. On January 30, 2012, the Company's changed its name to Sirocco Mining Inc.

On August 8, 1997 the Company was continued as a federal corporation under the provisions of the Canada Business Corporations Act ("CBCA").

The Company is a reporting issuer in British Columbia and its common shares have been listed for trading on the TSX Venture Exchange (previously, the Canadian Venture Exchange) since August 8, 1997. The Company is considered to be a "Tier 1" company under the policies of the TSX Venture Exchange. The trading symbol of the Company is SIM. The CUSIP number is 82967T105.

On October 1, 2012 Sirocco Mining Inc. announced that its common shares will commence trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange as of the market opening on October 3, 2012. The Company's ticker symbol "SIM" remained unchanged.
